Listen to the soundtrack of this painting

Along the country lanes of the Chilterns the snow had been falling all night. The roadway, hedges, woodlands and landscape were thick with brilliant newly fallen snow.

The horse and rider were out exploring the morning. Their breath exhaled in little clouds…the sky showed the snow clouds in the sunlight.

I painted this scene to remind me that the newly fallen snow changes the whole aspect of the artist’s pallette and his subject.
